Preparation
- Whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Warm milk and sprinkle yeast over it, letting it sit until foamy. Combine with flour mixture, then add melted butter and egg, mixing until shaggy.
- Knead dough on floured surface for 8-12 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl and cover.
- Let rise in warm area for 1-1.5 hours until doubled.
- Dice apples and mix with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Punch down the dough, roll into rectangle, spread apple filling, roll tight, and slice into 12 pieces.
- Place in greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Beat frosting ingredients together and spread over warm rolls.
- Serve warm.
