Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Easy BLT Dip
  1. Begin by allowing the 8 ounces of cream cheese to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes or microwave it in short bursts of 10-15 seconds until it's soft.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with 16 ounces of sour cream. Using a hand mixer or a sturdy spatula, mix them together until the mixture is silky and fully blended.
  3. Next, incorporate 1 cup of mayonnaise and a packet of ranch dressing mix into the creamy blend. Stir vigorously until the mayo and seasoning are completely integrated.
  4. Take a moment to taste the mixture and add salt and pepper according to your preference.
  5. Prepare the 1 pound of bacon by cooking it in a skillet over medium heat for about 7–10 minutes or until crispy.
  6. While the bacon cools, shred 2 cups of lettuce and dice 1 cup of tomatoes.
  7. Gently fold the crumbled bacon, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes into the creamy mixture.
  8. If desired, fold in ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the mixture.
  9. Transfer the dip to an airtight container and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight.
  10. Just before serving, give your Easy BLT Dip a good stir and serve with a variety of dippers like crackers, baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.
