Method
 

Instructions
  1. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then mix into butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well with vanilla until fully incorporated.
  4. Alternate mixing in flour and milk until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased loaf pan.
  7. Layer half of the batter, drizzle hot fudge sauce, top with remaining batter and more hot fudge.
  8. Swirl the fudge into the batter gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes, checking doneness with a skewer.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  11. Slice and serve warm with optional hot fudge sauce and ice cream.
  12. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate.
