Ingredients

For the Peaches
  • 4 pieces Ripe Peaches Use firm peaches to maintain structure.
For the Topping
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Adds richness and aids in caramelization; coconut oil works well for a dairy-free alternative.
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar Enhances natural flavors; brown sugar can be used for a deeper taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon The essential spice adding warmth; consider swapping with pumpkin pie spice for a twist.
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg Elevates flavor complexity; feel free to omit if you prefer a straightforward taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Allspice Contributes a unique depth; pumpkin spice is a great substitute if needed.
  • ½ cup Light Brown Sugar Provides a chewy texture; white sugar can be swapped if necessary.
  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour Adds structure to the crumble topping; use gluten-free flour for a suitable alternative.
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats Introduces texture and crunch; quick oats can suffice in a pinch.
  • ½ cup Chopped Pecans/Walnuts Offers a delightful crunch and healthy fats; skip for nut-free options.
For Serving
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream/Whipped Cream Adds creaminess that pairs beautifully with warm peaches; Greek yogurt makes a lighter choice.

Method

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and dry your peaches thoroughly. Carefully halve each peach and remove the pit, placing them cut-side up in your baking dish.
  3. Melt some unsalted butter and drizzle it over the cut surfaces of the peaches.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground allspice until combined. Sprinkle this blend evenly over the peaches.
  5. In another bowl, combine light brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and rolled oats. Add the remaining melted butter and mix until crumbly. Incorporate chopped pecans or walnuts if desired.
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the peaches, then add the crumble topping.
  7. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm, with or without ice cream or whipped cream.
