Ingredients

For the Apple Base
  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples Choose these for their crisp texture and tangy flavor; feel free to swap with Honeycrisp for extra sweetness!
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice This prevents browning and adds a zesty kick to your apple fries.
For the Coating
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour This helps create that delicious crispy coating; gluten-free flour works just as well!
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar Adds a touch of sweetness and ensures a lovely golden crust; coconut sugar is a great low-glycemic alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon This spice injects warmth and comfort into the dish, enhancing the apple's natural flavors.
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg Adds an aromatic depth, making these air fryer apple fries utterly irresistible!
For Adding Richness
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (unsalted) This helps the coating stick and adds richness; coconut oil is a fantastic dairy-free option!
For Serving (Optional)
  • Caramel sauce or whipped cream Perfect for dipping, elevating your air fryer apple fries into a truly decadent dessert experience!
